My dentist informed me that Colgate had a new product called Pro-Relief. Regular sensitivity toothpastes numb the inflamed nerve. ColgateĀ® Sensitive Pro-Relief(tm) has "Pro-argin" a unique combination of ingredients: arginine and the insoluble calcium compound, calcium carbonate. These ingredients actually seal the open dentin tubules. Something different and worth trying I thought. I was pleased when I finally saw the "new" Colgate Pro-Relief available in the US. However, after purchasing this product I found it to have the same active ingredients as their existing sensitive toothpaste: potassium nitrate and flouride. I am furious! The packaging is almost identical to the Pro-Relief product sold outside the US. And the Pro-argin formula is ONLY available outside the US. So if you plan on buying this product make sure the front of the package says Pro-argin and is coming from the UK, Australia or India. Otherwise there is nothing "new" about this toothpaste.

I was having a lot of problems with sensitive teeth. My sister from Holland suggested that I should try Colgate sensitive Pro relief with argin. It has really made a difference. I don't hardly have sensitive teeth no more. Be sure that you buy the Colgate pro relief toothpaste with the argin. The Colgate sensitive pro relief toothpaste, that is sold in the United States does not have argin in it, and won't be as good as the one with argin in it. It is pretty expensive, but very effective. So far, this is the only toothpaste that I have found that works for my sensitive teeth. And I have tried most all of the sensitive toothpaste out there. I give this product 4 stars because it is pretty expensive. Around 20 dollars per tube.

I am using the US version of SPR and it has worked perfectly for me. My sensitivity was to sugary foods. My dentist gave me a sample of SPR and suggested I brush my teeth as normal then brush again but not to rinse the toothpaste out. My teeth felt better after two uses.I will continue to use this product.
