DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I purchased this toothpaste because I had a coupon. In the past I've used Sensodyne and Crest Sensitivity. They work a LOT better than this stuff. In fact, this made the sensitivity issue WORSE than regular toothpaste.

My dentist informed me that Colgate had a new product called Pro-Relief. Regular sensitivity toothpastes numb the inflamed nerve. Colgate® Sensitive Pro-Relief(tm) has "Pro-argin" a unique combination of ingredients: arginine and the insoluble calcium compound, calcium carbonate. These ingredients actually seal the open dentin tubules. Something different and worth trying I thought. I was pleased when I finally saw the "new" Colgate Pro-Relief available in the US. However, after purchasing this product I found it to have the same active ingredients as their existing sensitive toothpaste: potassium nitrate and flouride. I am furious! The packaging is almost identical to the Pro-Relief product sold outside the US. And the Pro-argin formula is ONLY available outside the US. So if you plan on buying this product make sure the front of the package says Pro-argin and is coming from the UK, Australia or India. Otherwise there is nothing "new" about this toothpaste.
