Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid Flouride Toothpaste, Invigorating Mint, 4.1-ounce Packaging may Vary

I have always been a fan of Crest toothpaste products and have even used a variety of their whitening strips as well. When offered the chance to test and review this new "whitening" toothpaste, I eagerly accepted.

As I consume a large amount of coffee each day, I am always fighting to prevent staining of my teeth. I have tried whitening toothpaste offerings from other manufacturers in the past and have found that they are ALWAYS extremely expensive and never really produce noticeable results. So when I saw the price of the new Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid Fluoride Toothpaste, I was sure I was going down a road that I was already familiar with. It is indeed quite pricey and the amount of product you get is not exactly what I would call generous. While it may not "Remove up to 90% of surface stains" as the manufacturer states, this product truly made my teeth whiter. I have not used any specific whiteners (strips, gels, overnight cures, etc.) in the past, so I was ready to be dazzled. The taste is reminiscent of Pepsodent and is actually enjoyable. I found it to be nice and minty but not overly so. I normally use Listerine FreshBurst after brushing, so as far as any long-lasting mint effects, those are wiped out by my mouthwash which is minty in the extreme.

After 14 days (as of 3/8/10) my teeth are really more white. I drink two cups of coffee a day and normally brush my teeth at least three times a day due to that fact. I've used "whitening" toothpaste and chew whitening gums when in-between meetings or after lunch. None of those products have actually worked. This one did!

As a whitening toothpaste (which it seems every toothpaste claims to be these days)
this one seems to work okay.
After 14 days, I think there is some improvement in my tooth whiteness (this is subjective of course).

The only problem I see is that when you squeeze the toothpaste, the whitening component and the peroxide part are separated by partitions and sometimes you get one without the other.

Overall, works okay but can't replace white strips or other more targeted tooth whitening products.
