Here's the scoop on the stuff. It really, really works and it works fast.

As others have mentioned, it does cause sensitivity, big time. But I found out that if I do it every other day, it is no problem. Everyday and twice a day like the instructions tell you will make you a miserable wretch. Also, if you have the strips on upside down, your gullet and gut will let you know how displeased they are.

First, how it worked on me. After the first day, which I did in two consecutive 30-minute treatments (you can do it that way or else wait a few hours in between treatments), I already noticed the difference. My bottom teeth were, for some reason, yellower than the top--plus the area around my gums were yellower than anything (I am a coffee drinker; I have no diseases or cavities and I don't smoke). I've only been doing a single set of strips every other day - for about 3 wks. now. I didn't want to have to worry much about the tooth sensitivity that this strong peroxide version tends to cause. Still, it is indeed doing its job and I noticed the lightening by about the 3rd or 4th treatment. Also, I got a great deal on Amazon - $55 w/ shipping for full 84 strip pkg.(42 top/bttm sets)! I'll probably just do half of them now and put the rest in the refer for a touch up maybe in a year or so, since I'm not into the super-white thing.

I didn't want to have to deal w/ the strips squirming around on the teeth so I picked up a couple of "poor man's dental night guards", i.e., football mouth guards*, to act as trays to hold the strips in place. When you buy the guards, just pop 'em in hot water for a few sec's and fit them to your teeth. This thhing came in a zip bag. worse of all, the strip is so thin and flinsy, it does not stay in place. Waste of money.
