Comment: Like another reviewer, this product didn't whiten my teeth.
At first, I was surprise with all of the positive reviews for this product. Now, I realize that the positive reviewers' teeth were probably an intense dark yellow and this product lighten them a few shades and now they are exhilarated.
I went to the dentist to have the mouth trays created. I was given this product to use with the professionally fitted trays.
I used Day White Excel 3 with 9.5% strength for 1 hour each day up to 10 days. During and afterwards, I made sure to avoid staining foods such as ketchup, coffee, tea, soy sauce, berries, etc...
My teeth are still not white. When I began whitening my teeth; they were a light ecru/off-white in most places. They were yellow in a few places. Overall, I have really healthy teeth but I am picky about them looking good. So, I decided to whiten. This is the first time I have ever attempted to whiten my teeth.
If you can live with only having light yellow teeth then use this product. If you want movie-star white, get laser whitening at your dentist.
There are no whitening miracles in a pump!

Comment: Not knowing what to expect after paying mega moocho bucks for the bleach from a dentist, I was pleased to find the product fairly impressive. I smoke and drink coffee daily so I'm not sure I could ever get the "hurt your eyes" white like TV personalities, but it did brighten my teeth fairly well and got rid of the bad tarnished stains.

at first i noticed my gums were stinging a bit - not nice. i read on the Discuss Dental web site that the teeth trays do not need to cover the gum line, mine did, so i trimmed them to just cover my teeth. problem solved.
regarding quantity, I'm getting 7 to 8 applications from one syringe. on the packet it says 3 applications per syringe. basically i only really needed one packet with three syringes not the two packets that i got.
i only put gel on the front facing side of the tray (don't need bleach on the back of my teeth). my trays cover all my teeth, i exclude the back two teeth from bleaching since my smile no matter how big never shows those teeth. maybe that's why i get so much use from a single syringe.
last note, the results are pretty quick, my teeth after 6 applications are noticeably whiter. By the end of this week, they'll be as white as this page :)
