OPALESCENCE 15% PF MINT REFILL KIT

I used this teeth whitening product for about a year, and I loved the results. My teeth have white spots on them from when I wore braces, and this was the cheapest option my dentist gave me to make them blend in. I used the gel for an hour every other day for a month. Then about every 6-8 weeks (depending on my tooth color), I followed up with another bleaching. Just a warning if you have sensitive teeth, this made my teeth really sore at first, and it was hard to eat anything really hot or cold the morning after I used it. My dentist gave me some fluoride gel to use on the nights I didn't bleach, and that seemed to help. I also found that if I only left the trays in for 45 minutes, and didn't use it every night, it didn't make my teeth quite so sensitive.

I have read many of these reviews where everyone says they received product that expired in 07.

On the back of the top of the container you will see a serial number. If you are using the 10%,15% or 35% version, it will look exactly like this... #20001.5 051807. the last 6 digits are not an expiration date. They are inventory stock numbers. 10 years from now if this product still exists, it will say 051807. It doesn't make the product 13 years old.

My dentist recommended Opalescence. It must be used with custom made trays, however. I recall that was $200 to get those made. He also recommended I start with 10% to test my sensitivity. I had no reaction to 10% but 15% just starts to leave me a little sore after a nights use - of course, it's 50% stronger! I've stayed at 15% and deal with the small amount of soreness, which usually disappears after a day.

Still, the results have been remarkable, especially considering I drink coffee and smoke. This product, used regularly over night, has made my teeth whiter than they've been since I was a child. People actually asked me if I'd had dental work done because my smile looked so good.

Highly recommended. Start with 10% if you haven't used this before. I think my dentist was right to suggest that.
