Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit

Comment: I initially was concerned that I had wasted my money on these given that they didn't have a favorable review here. However, I am only 75% of the way through the kit and my teeth are incredibly whiter than they were before starting. Many of the cons that I heard regarding this simply have not held up to be true for me. For instance the discomfort many people experienced on their gums has not occurred at all. There is a little bit of sensitivity in your teeth for a few hours after each treatment, but nothing that is too profound or lingers. Of note I modified the directions a little bit and have spread the 4 treatments into 8 treatments over the course of 4 days. There is sufficient gel in a tube to cover both the upper and lower molds and thus get twice as many, albeit less concentrated, treatments. Perhaps this is why I have not experienced discomfort like some others have. The personalized molds have also been helpful for getting places in my teeth that were not perfectly smooth and which were only previously accentuated with whitening strips.
In short, these work better than the strips ever have for me, at a much more rapid rate and for not more of a cost. Definitely worth it if you have coffee/tea stained teeth like mine were.

Comment: Keep in mind any product that promises white teeth in two hours is pure baloney. All these whitening products you see on tv are displayed by actors and models who have brilliant white teeth to start, having had thousands of dollars worth of cosmetic dental work done. That's the bait. They never show an average joe putting whitening strips or trays in their mouth. This product isn't even made in the USA, it's made in Canada and imported. This product contains a known caustic bleaching agent, hydrogen peroxide, that can and has caused adverse reactions, such as blistering and whitening of the gums, severe swelling of the lips, burns and sores in the lining of the mouth, extreme sensitivity of the teeth and tongue pain when used over a two hour period. This product is not FDA regulated for quality assurance, safety or efficacy, and is not endorsed or recommended by the American Dental Association. When it comes to putting a caustic bleaching agent in your mouth for two hours, you're taking a big risk that could land you at the dentist with a large bill to reverse the damage caused by this product, far beyond what it would have cost had you scheduled a regular exam and cleaning in the first place. For safety's sake, use common sense. If your teeth are stained or yellow, go to a dentist. They are trained in mixing cleaning preparations for the teeth that will not harm delicate mouth tissue. They often use a stannous flouride treatment along with cleaning. This seals the teeth and prevents tooth sensitivity after cleaning. This product should be removed from the market pending an investigation on safety. Save the twenty dollars this product costs. It could cost you a lot more in the end.

Comment: I don't understand all the reviews saying how painful the whitening was. I guess if you have sensitive gums, you should stay away from this product. After following the directions, there IS a noticeable difference, is it dramatic like a movie star smile? No.

But for under $20, it does brighten your teeth a shade or two. I have gotten comments on my smile and someone asked "something is different, did you whiten your teeth?"

So for $20, you are getting a 2 hour teeth whitening ordeal (which was not very pleasant having what feels like a mouth-guard filled w/ gel in your mouth for 2 hours) that will get your teeth a shade whiter.

Will I buy this product again? Yes. Will I recommend it to others? Yes, then again, it's the only kit I ever used...

Comment: I read through the entire packet that it came with before doing anything. When I finally started I followed the directions perfectly. My teeth were pretty yellow thanks to my caffiene addiction but after the first 20 minute session I saw a huge improvement. I didn't continue with them all at once, I did one a day for four days because that's all I had time for. My teeth are so much better you can't even tell they used to be stained yellow. Even better I only had to use one tube for each session so I still have an extra four tubes for later use. Crest white strips did nothing for me but this was just amazing. Dentist quality whitening in my own home. But make sure that you read through everything before you begin and if it does cause irrition like several people are complaining about don't continue to use it!

Comment: Im thinking about trying this product out (then I promise I'll leave a real review). I was wondering if anyone knows if you can use your own trays for this product. I have one already from when I had braces. It fits very tightly though (sorta like invisaline) and I didnt knwo it this would be acceptable.
